Habitat for Humanity of Northern Columbiana County is a Christian ministry that partners with families in need to build simple decent houses.

These houses are then sold back to the partner families at no profit and with a zero percent mortgage held by Habitat. Families' mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses.

In addition to paying a mortgage, partner families must volunteer their time to help build a home for another family and then their own family. Partner families invest hundreds of hours of labor known as "sweat equity." Into building their homes.

Volunteers provide most of the labor,
and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses.
